We called just after 9am to check if they had emerald cedars in stock and they said they had lots and cost $40 per tree, my husband drove up all the way from Maple around 10 and they told him they only have 4 of them and offered some other trees for $80. he spoke to manager Andrea and she said they're short of staff and they couldn't confirm the tree count, that's not my problem. We have a business too and when were short on stock on something we physically check instead of making customers drive all the way for nothing, not acceptable.
I visited Connan’s at NewMarket looking for resilient potted plants only to receive a load of bad plants that customer service urged me to plant in soil. There was no willingness to take any responsibility regarding the state of the plants or the bad advice they provided. Not a trust worthy company and dealing with customer service was like pulling teeth.
2 months ago I bought plants and instructed me that within the 3 months period I can have the refund if the plant dies without bringing the plant just take the photo of dead plant, as well as my receipt I don't need to bring it because I'm already on their system. RIDICULOUS!I went back to their place, show the photo of my dead plant and they are asking me the real dead plant. Told them that I was instructed to just only take the photo, but no, a store policy! And not only that, as if she's trying to accused me of asking the refund of another dead plant in which she said that it's not in the receipt. When my son checked it in the list of plants I bought and found the name of the plant, now she insisted again to bring the dead plant in their store..NO MERCY! NO CONSIDERATION!We drove an hour from home to their place, and now they want us to go home and come back again with that dead plants...What the heck she is thinking?! I READY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S THE STORE POLICY OR THEIR STAFF'S POLICY?! BEWARE!
Ordered a compost soil from them. Garbage quality. Pulled out countless bits of plastic bags, bread tags and other strange things. What unseen toxins may be lurking in there. Not something I would want for a flower bed let alone a vegetable garden.
Good selection of native plants, and the staff were very helpful in finding the plants I was looking for, and provided suggestions as to other plants I may be interested in. A number of staff members also stopped to ask if I needed help with anything. This was my first time here, but it definitely won't be my last!
